Hey there, my name is Tom, and I’m a tutor and editor over here at Killer Papers, a Canada-based essay help service that is the best in the business. I’ve been doing this for over 5 years, and recently, I decided to check out other services to see who we’re “competing” with. I'd heard that ExpertWriting has really cheap prices, so I thought I’d check them out and give you guys a review. If you’re looking for an answer to the question of “Is ExpertWriting legit,” then you’re in the right place!
What I found was both really interesting and really disturbing. Read on to find out why you should NOT choose ExpertWriting.
TL/DR: Is ExpertWriting legit? NOPE! ExpertWriting uses low-paid foreigners to write for them, their prices are full of sketchy, hidden costs, and the writing quality is honestly just really, really bad. If you want to work with a legit service, give us a shot over here at Killer Papers.
To figure out the answer to the whole “is ExpertWriting legit” question, I headed over to their website to poke around a bit.
Now, yellow has to be someone’s favorite color, so I won’t hold that against them.
Other than their relatively weird color choices, the rest of the design is relatively clean and modern, and the site is fast and responsive.
Unlike other essay help services, they also don’t have a million annoying pop-ups that flood you straight out of the gate.
They also have a nice, big box on their home page where you can calculate the cost of your essay.
“That’s seems cool,” I thought, and $16 a page for a college essay doesn’t look too bad.
SADLY - I would soon find out how wrong I was.
The ordering process is actually pretty simple. But, that can also be a problem.
I couldn’t really give a lot of detail about my paper on the first page, then had to punch in the exact same information on the second page.
What is this? An online job application?
The people using this site are just trying to get a little help, for crying out loud!
Anyways, I did what they asked, added the info again, and chose a three-day lead time.
And, that’s when I saw the real price.
I began the ordering process on ExpertWriting expecting to get a price calculation of around $64 for a four-page essay, just like their calculator told me I would.
I quickly realized that $16 is only their price if you give them a two-week lead time.
Two weeks! Most of the time, when you need help with an essay, you’ve got a few days at best to get one done and are probably stressing the heck out.
Sadly, this company doesn’t mind taking advantage of the fact that you’re in a tight spot.
My four-page essay would cost me $24 a page if I was willing to choose a “regular writer.”
But the price per page would be over $35 if I wanted a “premium writer.”
What’s the difference, you ask?
According to ExpertWriting, the difference is that a premium writer gives you “high writing quality results.”
Excuse me, what?
They also include that, should you not fork over all this extra cash, that “no particular level of writing may be guaranteed?”
If I’m going to shell out $142 of my hard-earned cash, I want to be sure I'm getting the best quality help I possibly can.
This fact alone made me think that the answer to “is ExpertWriting legit?” is a resounding NO!
Luckily, before I hit submit, I got to check some writing samples.
That was pretty much the final nail in the coffin for this service.
You’d hope that $35 a page would give you access to good-quality writing.
Well, at ExpertWriting, it certainly will NOT.
Have a look at this sample that they’ve posted on their site.
It’s hilarious just how out of touch they are, especially in that they think this is good writing on any level.
The shift between formal and informal tone is maddening.
But what kills me is using the words “cool” and “stuff” in an academic essay!
Guys, this is not what you want to receive when paying top dollar for an academic essay.
Here’s another example of the quality of writing you get with a service like ExpertWriting.
This section just repeats the same idea over and over again.
Seriously, four sentences in a row just say that technology will be important in the future.
I mean, come on! I know high schoolers that could do better than that.
Worst of all, with a service like ExpertWriting, you DON’T get to pick who you work with.
Finding the right person to work with is critical when you’re looking for essay help. There is no info on the site about their writers.
You can’t even read about where they’re from, but I bet you a hundred bucks they’re not native-level English speakers.
Judging by the writing samples, I know I’m right.
That’s where Killer Papers is different.
You get to chat with the tutors on the team and decide who you want to work with BEFORE you pay. You can ask them questions to see if you’re a good match.
And, best of all, you know you’ll be working with a tutor who just “gets you.”
The Killer Papers team is 100% made up of US and Canadian college graduates who went to high schools and colleges like yours. We get where you’re coming from, can write like you do, and will knock your project out of the park!
And, if you want to check out our writing quality, you can watch some of us writing essays live on our profiles.
My final step in figuring out how to answer “is ExpertWriting legit?” is to go find their social media and check out some reviews.
On the social media front, I could find nothing out there.
I mean it. I looked everywhere. YouTube, TikTok, Instagram. I even went onto Facebook (ew!).
They don’t have a profile on one of those platforms. Not a single one.
How do you not have a social media presence in 2024? What are they hiding if they refuse to put themselves out there?
On the other hand, Killer Papers has a huge social media presence.
We’re on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, you name it!
Our team is always watching our inboxes and treats every single essay as if it is our own work we’er submitting.
Best of all, our support team is available 24/7 and you might even get a response from KP (our owner) himself.
Speaking of reviews, I looked ExpertWriting up on several review sites and got mixed results.
Some reviews were really negative, like this one:
But, even positive reviews point out issues:
So “Is ExpertWriting legit?” The answer is simple: NO!
Their quality is junk, they’re crazy expensive, and their service is just completely sus.
Between poor quality writing, non-existent social media and a ton of other red flags, using ExpertWriting is like lighting your money on fire.
If you’re looking for a legit service that uses top-quality tutors, hit us up over here at Killer Papers. Our team of native-English-speaking college grads is happy to help you with any project you send our way.
Alright, guys, that’s it from me! Like I said, my name is Tom, and I’m here to help you with any essay, PowerPoint, or other academic work that crosses your desk this year.
I hope to see you soon!
